Finn Guy

"The real voyage of discovery consist not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes” Marcel Proust.

Finn Guy is a contemporary artist who has worked internationally across England, Botswana, and Australia.

Moving through the landscape as a visitor, her time spent in remote locations - from the Kalahari Desert to the Australian outback - marked the beginning of a deeper understanding of place: how we inhabit it, the traces we leave behind, and the significance of those marks. Her work seeks to honour the memory of ancient lives embedded in the land. To speak of the land is also to speak of the sky; the two exist in constant dialogue, each reflecting the other.

Her practice is grounded in simple forms, colour, repetition, and movement. By isolating and repeating small details, the work creates spaces that invite the viewer to drift into the delicate, flowing thresholds between light and dark. Rather than retelling specific landscapes - real or imagined - the work explores what is revealed and what is withheld, embracing storytelling as an act of selection and restraint.
